Who is Golden Eden Produce?
Golden Eden Produce is a farming family which produces fresh produce like sweet bell peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. They offer Saskatchewan fresh, wholesome food for the table which is Locally Grown, Non-GMO and Pesticide Free.
Tucked away on the prairies in the middle of the hay field on the original family homestead, Golden Eden Produce has seemingly grown out of the ground like the buffer crop of forage hay that is raised around it. With the peaceful surroundings of the farm complimenting the view of the greenhouse buildings, Golden Eden Produce is an oasis of fresh vegetables in the harsh climate of Saskatchewan.
Why Golden Eden Produce?
Golden Eden Produces are non-GMO and are grown in a pesticide-free greenhouse. Their greenhouse is out in the middle of our hayfield which acts as a buffer to ensure there are no chemicals or their residue ever come near your table. Fertilized using naturally acquired minerals and calcium, you can be sure that the produce are of high quality.
Golden Eden’s watering system relies upon their dugout/catch basin which is supplied by rain water, melted snow pack, and a natural spring. Drip irrigation brings it to the plant. Due to the source of their water, it has tested out perfectly for greenhouse produce. Beautifully soft water, the nutrients in it from the natural setting it’s collected in are transmitted to the plants, enhancing the effects that the fertigation supplies.
Using Nature’s own defenses, Golden Eden brings in friendly bugs to eat the pests which would damage or destroy the crops. Working in an environment which includes lacewings and ladybugs among other “unsung heroes” provides an education to all of us as we can watch Nature take its course. This gives to the produce a special flavour devoid of the pesticidal residue which otherwise can be still on the conventional produce.
